Hawaii just passed the first state law in the country banning corporations from making political donations in state elections.
Now a Koch-backed legal group is suing to overturn it.

On this note: another state (or several of them) should file an original jurisdiction suit against Florida on this basis. The domestic emoluments ban on states paying the president is a federalism safeguard, one state violating it is a real harm to the sovereign interests of every other state.
“The President shall, at stated Times, receive for his Services, a Compensation, which shall neither be encreased nor diminished during the Period for which he shall have been elected, and he shall not receive within that Period any other Emolument from the U.S., or any of them.” [i.e. state govs]
