For the ruthless capitalists, war is just a profit-making game. Civilian lives become numbers on a balance sheet. If conflict increases profits, they support it. They can push for a ceasefire when it suits their interests, move markets accordingly, then abandon the ceasefire when war profits rise.

Humanity's resources are finite. Capitalism distributes them through competition, but the race does not begin from the same starting line. Some inherit wealth, influence, education, and opportunity, while others are born with far fewer advantages.
Most Americans need stronger safety nets and deserve a bigger piece of the economic pie.
They need protection from those who seek to exploit working people for every last penny.
Some decry this view as "socialism."

No excuse can hide the fact that leaders who bend the knee to Trump are insulting their own nations and their own people. The G7 was supposed to stand for democracy, dignity, and the rule of law. What kind of summit is this? A summit of fools, not leaders.

Atheism and evolution are not the same thing, but I don't think they are completely unrelated. If someone accepts Intelligent Design as the best explanation, they are already moving beyond simple atheism. Evolution is the scientific and evidence-based answer to claims of design.

Atheists have no dog in the evolution vs. intelligent design fight. Atheists only use their common sense to establish the fact that without compelling evidence, it is inappropriate to believe the claims that god exists. That's all. Nothing to do with evolution.

As a Japanese, I believe our imperial institution should not be defined by the Constitution. If people wish to preserve it as a spiritual, cultural, or religious tradition, they are free to do so. But it should exist as a private religion, not as a constitutional foundation of the state

I once thought aliens or truly autonomous AI might force humanity to stop its pointless wars. But selfish people would probably sacrifice others to save themselves, and the powerful would try to control AI for profit and power. Religion may survive, but capitalism truly is hopeless.

The same is true for Taylor Swift or Shohei Ohtani. They earned their wealth through talent and success, and there is nothing wrong with that. But when some people hold extreme wealth while others struggle to survive, it shows a deep distortion in capitalism and in our world itself.
As of May 2026, Taylor Swift's net worth is estimated to be approximately $2 BILLION. For everyone who thinks she's any "better" than any other greedy billionaire, go downtown to see all the starving, homeless veterans in your city. She could do a lot of good with that money. Nobody needs that much.

I don’t think young artists must make political statements. But I worry that more Japanese people now attack artists simply for speaking out. Seeing one of my youth idols send messages about peace and Japan’s pacifist Constitution truly moves my heart.

To stop endless killing and military escalation, humanity needs global cooperation. But we cannot achieve it. Capitalism is shit. It can never stop the arms race because profit and power will always come first.

That’s exactly why children raised by parents trapped in cult-like religions often become believers through indoctrination rather than personal choice. Religion ultimately depends on belief, and young children must trust their parents to survive, so they usually inherit the beliefs they are given.
FUN FACT: Most people follow the faith of their family. So religion isn't about finding "truth"—it's about conformity.

Unless capitalism can be restrained, it will continue to amplify selfishness driven by endless desire. The weak remain bound by rules, while the powerful reshape those rules through wealth and influence. It fuels the military industry, and even wars become tools for increasing capital and profit.

Lately I keep wondering whether a form of capitalism can truly exist where inequality is kept within rational limits, and where fair, restrained competition is actually possible. I’m personally doing okay, but the world’s resources and land need far better distribution for all people.

Every time I read articles like this, I hope Putin will finally be judged and this utterly senseless invasion of Ukraine will end. But after years of endless “Putin countdown” optimism, I no longer know how much hope to place in these predictions— as long as America is led by Trump
