Thank you so much for the resposts and likes! My son is excited and gratified that so many people appreciated our armies. We are doing a proper long-form report of the battle, but here is a sneak peak of how it went...

That's awesome, wonderful paint jon on those! My main army is Undead - I've been trying to also complete Empire for the Doomlord scenario, but have side-stepped into Idol of Gork with my son.

Following the defeat of Gorbad, a brave young goblin seeks use some recently stolen artefacts of power to prevent the destruction of the Iron Claw. He must lead his Night Goblins in a midnight raid to destroy the under-construction siege tower threatening their final stronghold. Battle Report otw!

Tried to find a game my Dad would be into - we were both enthusiasts of kitset models as kids, and chose WoG as I really liked the XWing game mechanics. We had our first games in the weekend, getting used to how the kites move around the table. Plans have been made to try all the BoB scenarios.

Just finished day 1 of a Warhammer Fantasy 5th edition tournament here in New Zealand - bringing the Vampire Counts and have come out with 3 wins against Beastmen. Dwarves and High Elves. Tomorrow sees me facing a Night Goblin Horde. I really love this edition, especially the magic system.

Quite a coincidence, I saw your post this morning and the very same day I get my first win! I play The Defect. Having played this so much, it truly feels like an achievement.

College Magic spell cards are printed! They came out pretty good and look great alongside the other cards in the WFB 5th ed Magic set.

Yeah I had a go at this too. I actually set up a channel on our Discord, and used the Narvi app to manage the character and dice rolling. Love it! You populate a GDoc and the plugin reads it, type in commands for the different dice rolls etc.

Sometimes you find the right book at the right time. Lost my old dog a few months back. Started reading the first hard-copy book I've had time and space to read since having kids and starting a new career; Fairy Tale by @stephenking.bsky.social. Old Radar is filling a gap I didn't know was there.

Interested to hear what everyone's niche #Warhammer hobby enthusiasms are! For me, I spend most of my internal world in WFB 5th Edition #Herohammer but with the 4th edition army books. I love the rules changes between 4th and 5th but also love the older metal models and Undead Army Book.

And so he needed to just draw a single power card in his magic phase or risk losing the battle! Easy right? But he rolled double ones, and so only got one chance to draw one. The look on his face when he got it was priceless. Massive thanks to @tuomaspirinen.bsky.social et al for the exciting times!

Had an absolute blast playing through the first scenario from the Circle of Blood from WFB 5th Edition with my boy! We are prepping for Idol of Gork but realised we had these armies ready to go now. The Undead were very nicely routing the poor defenders, but his Necromancer's unit was vulnerable...

Really excited with my boy starting to play WFB 5th ed with me. He really likes Orcs a Goblins, so I thought we should do this the right way. As a result I tracked down an unused copy of Idol of Gork... looking forward to sharing this project as it develops!

My package arrived today! I've got 5 players ready to go... just a house move to go and then we get to visit Middle Earth. Such a cool ruleset and intruiguing way they've structured the adventures.

Is this a sneaky 'Rings of Power' reference in The One Ring RPG? Hilarious!
For contect this is info from a room in Ost Breniellin in Forlindon - inhabited by the descendents of the Fëanoreans. If they're referring to Celebrimbor as the 'visiting Elf from Eregion..' that's some shade right there.
