Want to Finally Write That Book? Set Yourself a Deadline
Deadline. It’s not a nice word, is it? I mean it has the word “dead” in it and if that’s not an implication of finality, I don’t know what is. So setting one for yours…

Reading has become an endangered species. Which is half the problem with American political life. Maybe more than half. If you can't read, you can't think. Then you can fall for anything. The idea, for instance, that the truth is fake news.

Today I came up with a better opening for my novel...whilst in the shower. Which is just so cliche.

So now I need to come up with a better place to come up with a better opening for my novel. A writer's work is never done. #amwriting

Putting stuff on your walls really does make a home look homely. Like you can do all the other things but without pictures and all that it will just look like something's missing. Deciding where the stuff should go on said walls is an entirely other matter however! #interiordesign #newhome

I think "AI" plumpers should be happy I'm focusing mostly on the nonsense it's doing to my field, rather than how it's very clearly designed as a tool for the capture of wealth and capital by a bunch of accelerationist weirdos enthusiastically huffing their own farts from the depth of their K-holes

Thoughts on AI and writing - writing is hard. Sometimes it sucks and you don't write for ages but..I still love it. Why would I hand the joy I get to a machine? If you can't take what writing entails, you don't love writing. You just want the end product? Buy a damn book! #amwriting #amediting

Writing observation - I love editing waaaay more than drafting but it's a little like snakes and ladders. One moment, you're climbing those editing ladders happy as larry. Next you have to write something new and you're sliding that snake back to drafting again. #amwriting #amediting #writinglife

T.S. Eliot’s Grave – The Poet Who Inspired the First Blockbuster Musical
Thomas Sterns Eliot, better known as T.S. Eliot, was a poet and playwright. He's best known today for "Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats" which inspired the musical "Cats". But a lot of Eliot's work, was a far cry from this light and whimsical set of verses. And although he was American, his family had roots in England and he ended up becoming a British citizen, which is why he's now buried in St Micheal and All Angels Church in East Coker, Somerset.
