Celebrating Dad’s 95th bday eating sushi and watching NFL. Don’t take any of it for granted.
Pro tip: if you can’t find a 95th bday card, etiquette says just add card # s together. My Dad has a great sense of humor, loved my joke about the bonus cognitive test (maze) inside the 5th card.

Beautiful copy! This is the first book that popped into my head after seeing yours (prob the sword) and one you don’t see too often. #TopShelfFriday for me is Uncanny X-Men #34 (1967), one of my very first pre-94 UXMs back in the 80’s

Going with the full 22 issues of FOOM, Marvel’s 1970’s fanzine. Besides a certain long X-title, the hardest run for me to complete. Took 4-5 yrs, prob 2/3 found in the wild.

Been mostly cooking for myself a few years, slowly settled on an approach of “eat 2 freeze 2 (portions)” for variety’s sake.
Quickly learned what froze well for those lazy day dinners. Keep a Note so I don’t have to rummage, decreasing the risk of dropping frozen leftovers on my feet!

Dungeon, the 1980 TSR board game with lots of D&D related pieces/spells/etc. I will occasionally run across ads for this reading back issues of comics. Was a huge fav in the house.

Should have gotten a brick of havarti, but no pre planning so I’ll savor this one with the tiny-ish amount of havarti. Next time will broil the bread on its own longer for crispy bread.

And I guess at some point they were (at least internally) calling it the “future history” story. Pages from an interview with Claremont in one of the Fantagraphics X-Men Companion books.

Mine was a slam dunk - the question about first solid food having Old Bay seasoning in it was a giveaway. And I did live in CA for a decade. But CO decade didn’t quite punch through?
