In France, Marine Le Pen and National Rally leader Jordan Bardella accused Russia of hostile, destabilizing actions and said it could not dictate French policy through intimidation.

A French military source told Le Monde that France is already carrying out undisclosed conventional military responses to Russian hybrid attacks. Asked whether Paris could retaliate militarily without making it public, the source replied: “That is already happening.”

After Macron's briefing yesterday, Le Pen and Bardella feel compelled to clarify their position on Russia and Ukraine:
"These debates are legitimate. Foreign pressure is not.
We will never tolerate a foreign power, in this case Russia, hoping to dictate our country's policy directly or indirectly"

It reads like an attempt to square the circle - still maintain that France's support for Ukraine should be debated, but accepting Russia as a threat, including acknowledging Russia's hybrid actions such as in Leipzig.
