Eurozone inflation climbed to 3.8% in September, its highest level in three years, as surging energy prices drove consumer costs higher, Eurostat’s preliminary estimate showed.
While on Europe, annual eurozone inflation rose from 3.2% in August to 3.8%.
Driven mainly by energy prices, the September print topped the consensus forecast of 3.6%, adding pressure on the ECB as economies deal with higher borrowing costs.

Last week (25 September) the U.S. Dollars to Euro Exchange Rate was 1.14 USD/EUR. Relative to a month ago, this is a decrease of approx. -1.7%. Relative to a year ago, the exchange rate is about -2.5% lower. #exchangerate #eur #usd #econsky
