Eurozone inflation climbed to 3.8% in September, its highest level in three years, as surging energy prices drove consumer costs higher, Eurostat’s preliminary estimate showed.
Driven mainly by energy prices, the September print topped the consensus forecast of 3.6%, adding pressure on the ECB as economies deal with higher borrowing costs.
