I recommend people read this to get a sense of the president's grave cognitive impairment. Trump is either unwilling or unable (or maybe both) to answer the questions he's actually asked, so he just rants and raves while the interviewers do their best to provide structure to his random brain firings

Trump: "There's never been a job done like we've done, but we haven't gotten the word out. So I say we've done a bad public relations job, but a great management job, and that's more important, right?"

Key point: "the last 3 presidential elections showed varying levels of pro-Democratic bias in polls, on average. But House and Senate pre-election polls showed very little bias in the two midterms of the Trump era: 2018 and 2022. "
The 2024 AAPOR Task Force on polling accuracy collected a really thorough set of polls and checked them for legitimacy. See Figure 2.1.1 on page 16. The light lines are polling bias-levels toward Democrats. The solid lines are the levels of absolute/random error.

STEPHEN MOORE: We had much much higher inflation under Biden

BERMAN: Let me stop you. Has inflation gone up or down since Trump took office?

MOORE: Well, it was about 3.2% when Biden left office, it's 3.4% now

BERMAN: So it's gone up

MOORE: That is true

Hahahahaha!! I’ve posted several times that every politician eventually says the same thing. “Yes I made mistakes. I failed to communicate how brilliant I am.”

Trump's never had to run against the economy before. Turns out there's no magic.
New AP poll: Trump’s job approval rating falls to 31%, while 69% disapprove.

• His approval rating on the economy: 26%

• On the cost of living: 17%
• On Iran: 28%
• Trade negotiations: 38%
• AI: 31%
• Immigration: 39%
• Border security: 48%

#JobsDay numbers came in well below expectations (+29k jobs). Revisions reversed the narrative of a strong end-of-summer hiring boom (-60k fewer than reported). Trump's economy fails to deliver jobs for Americans as job growth slows, unemployment increases (4.2%), and inflation outpaces wages

Trump seems to think the American people are idiots and are hallucinating the prices they're paying at the grocery store, at the gas pumps, and when they're trying to buy a house because of him.

I made this comment exactly one year ago, and oh boy, was I right: “After today’s meeting of Trump and Hegseth with U.S. generals, it’s clear: America is in the hands of the worst president in our history and the most dangerously incompetent government we’ve ever had.”
