That is staggering. It is straightforward political repression by the UK in furtherance of its complicity in the Gaza genocide. Sally - who realises literature is political - has put something real on the line.

This is all utterly mad and the responsibility lies squarely with the British government www.rte.ie/entertainmen...

The publisher and Irish author mutually agreed to pull Rooney’s books after the U.K. banned financial support of Palestine Action, to which Rooney previously pledged to donate her royalty earnings. Faber will continue distributing her work in other territories. buff.ly/7Y97wFB

I can’t imagine Sally Rooney is losing sleep over her books being banned in the UK. All it does is highlight the nature of the UK govt’s response to Gaza: outlawing activism, censoring free speech and reinforcing genocide. It won’t do her global sales any harm either. www.rte.ie/entertainmen...

Sally Rooney's books will no longer be distributed by Faber & Faber due to her support for Palestine Action.

This is absurd, and part of a broader ludicrousness in British society where solidarity with Palestine is punished in increasingly nonsensical ways, while genocide goes unpunished.
