If someone tells you they have DID... No, it's not schizophrenia. No you do not have multiple personalities because you act differently at work, around your family, around your friends, etc. no we are not like the guy in "split" we are not going to switch personalities and attack you, that's bullshit. You, alters/identities/personalities are real. Theat them like individual people, even though they share the same body. DID is caused be extensive childhood trauma and is demonized by the media. If someone trusts you enough to share that they are a multiple, do NOT abuse that.
