Song of the Sea : at Nanjizal Beach, near Lands End, takes some walking to get to, but the reward is the famous cave, a sea chasm (in the background) called Zawn Pyg, also known as Song of the Sea, which stands in it’s own perfect clear blue lagoon.

An essay of mine about the first time "America" appeared on a map, and who "Americans" are today, in the @latimes.com earlier this year:

Contributor: What 'America' meant before 1776, and who 'Americans' are today
The label is often wielded now to exclude brown people, but these two continents have been a melting pot since long before the U.S. was founded.

There's no #Mason-Dixon line. You show yourself by what you do. That's what makes this #Civil #War different. There's no set #geography. Except the #finances. If you don't understand that you must win a financial war then you haven't caught up yet. This is about the #money & it always has been. 🔦🔦🔦

Frost is a map. #geography
The first frost lays one sheet over the whole street and draws only the lines the night made: where the cold pooled, where something gave shelter, where warmth got out. A quiet note from the porch for a loud week. Read it here: buttondown.com/commoning.co...

#TIL In 1960, France tested a nuclear bomb in Algeria’s desert that was about four times more powerful than the Hiroshima bomb. No local warning was given. France later estimated that roughly 27,000 people in the area were harmed by the fallout.
