It does feel good to shift into paint mode after so long cutting plastic. Primed Mr. Surfacer 1500 Black and then a blend of AK RC NATO Brown, Rotbraun, and Flat Black for a rust layer and speckled it with AK 3rd Gen Dark and Medium Rust. Figures cleaned up and primed as well.

It does feel good to shift into paint mode after so long cutting plastic. Primed Mr. Surfacer 1500 Black and then a blend of AK RC NATO Brown, Rotbraun, and Flat Black for a rust layer and speckled it with AK 3rd Gen Dark and Medium Rust. Figures cleaned up and primed as well.

I've been moving along on my Macchi 202 but needed more images of the engine arrangement.
The kit has a very nice DB601 provided.
Then I saw a post here by KLP & boom! A 202 guide!
Very thorough 275 pg guide has EXCELLENT info on building this kit🙂

Making the M13/40 dusty or at least trying to. Trying to get that caked on North Africa dust/grit look. Think I'll give some pigments and oils a crack and see if that will help out with the texture.

Old plastic, so a tow wire broke into three-bodge fix.
Too much grubbiness?
The water oil is great for wet streaks, fresh muddiness and mellowing rust powder!
