##Microgravity
During his time at the flight academy, Fox would do a lot of last minute cramming. When you're busy flying, you don't have as much time for study.

#Space travel isn't truly safe. Research shows #microgravity has detrimental, long-lasting effects on the human body. But mimicking weightlessness on Earth could help develop cancer treatments. Biomedical engineers explain:
Microgravity in space may cause cancer − but on Earth, mimicking weightlessness could help researchers develop treatments
Cells function differently under low gravity conditions. Rather than send lab samples to space, researchers are developing Earth-bound tools to more easily study microgravity’s effects on biology.

✨ Just painted in microgravity for the first time and as part of a world first scientific experiment of this type. 🎨🚀

Humbled to join the very rare group of artists who have created in micro-G!
And so greatful for the support of my family, IIAS, friends. 🌌

How can we keep #astronauts healthy on long spaceflights? UC Davis researchers tested lower-body negative pressure in 30-second bursts of #microgravity on parabolic flights, discovering it improves jugular blood flow to help prevent clots & vision issues.
UC Davis researcher Rich Whittle took research to new heights, studying how microgravity affects blood flow during parabolic flights and testing a way to protect astronauts on future missions. 🚀
