I only needed to weave in the yarn ends of these pirate socks. I weave them diagonally into the stockinette, which doesn’t seem to affect fabric stretchiness or show on the right side.

The cuffs of my latest pair of scrappy pirate socks are knit in 1x1 ribbing from a deep blue marled, tonal colorway of Zitron Trekking XXL sock yarn. This ribbing takes longer to knit than more common 2x2 ribbing, but I think it suits the yarn better. The first ankle stripe on both of my latest scrappy pirate socks is two different olive greens. It’s an effort to make the socks less identical while still being recognizably a pair. This stripe is knit from Lang Jawoll Superwash sock yarn.
