Fall 1991. Two years sober. Today, 36 years. I feel so grateful to my former self for beginning the daily practices of recovery which continue every day. I enjoy the benefits of serenity, a calm quiet mind, true connection with others, freedom, acceptance and robust vitality. #sobersky

Sometimes I miss whiskey. It has solved and caused so many problems in my life. Like a toxic ex who's good in bed. Fun, but not worth the headache of a reconnect

In the past month, my kid moved away & started college, my spouse was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis & began a new med regiment, my dog was diagnosed with heart disease & began a new med regiment, my house flooded & destroyed the floors. But, I stayed sober & that’s a 💛miracle! #sobersky #odaat
