Do I know any Slovak historians (esp. late 18th/early 29thC) who might be willing to look at a short (4500 word) chapter?

It follows some German racial ideas as they're adapted and repurposed in early 19thC Hungary as part of a pro-Slav/anti-Magyar polemic.

By the 19thC the churchyards of the City were overflowing, bodies buried on top of others. Land owned by the 2nd Duke of Wellington at Manor Park was purchased and the City of London Cemetery opened for new burials. Many remains from City churchyards have also been reinterred.

Haven’t found a sherd with logo on for a while, this bit of 19thC stoneware popped up last week on the Thames Foreshore. This one says I.H.EDMONDS, Wine & Spirit Merchant, 45 STRUTTON GROUND, Westminster. The ‘I’ stands for John H Edmonds who is listed in London’s 1832 Robson’s Street Directory 1/2

getting high on a rainy sunday afternoon listening to a podcast about the long 18th century (a concept i LOVE that the era was georgian until victoria and then it became the 19thc because no one remembers william in there) and i can feel my muscles starting to get sore which is a lovely feeling

DYK like #MahatmaGandhi, most 19thC men could not go w/o sex no matter how hard they tried? Leo #Tolstoy published his manifesto against love, marriage, & sex—The Kreutzer Sonata in 1889.

Main focus was on

how good the 19thC predictions of effects of CO2 had been

on the melting of Greenland (30m tonnes of ice per hour)

on sea level rise with threats to coastal cities and global rice production

on the need to curb methane emissions, which can now be mapped in detail by satellite.

"Colonial Archaeology" played a large part in knowledge suppression e.g. A 19thC Colonial Indian railway co. breaking up Indus Valley civilization ruins for railway sleepers whilst, at the same time, ruins in Greece, Italy & Egypt were treated quite differently.

Made the mistake of giving The Uprising (set in 1381) a go. After 15 mins I couldn't take any more random Tudor costumes, 18thC windows or wall monuments with 19thC dates on them...

I honestly don’t have time to do these justice. If any 19thc historians are looking for elite Boston diaries, don’t miss these (Hannah Russell Palfrey, Houghton Library).

Most 19thC counties had a mix of county, borough and the odd franchise coroner. Franchise coroners are the weird medieval ones that were usually attached to abbeys and then sold after the Reformation to aristocrats. Which is why the Marquess of Exeter was picking coroners until 1946
