they are both fairly crooked and going downhill at different angles and some of my 2x2s were just flat out curving funny, but this is the "make a garden from the shit you have on hand" challenge so imperfect but functional is the only win condition. lol

i had an alternate idea for the error correction (not implemented yet). you mark the foundation ahead, and every spot you build is cleared of the foundation marking.
then you error correct the same way, but you only rectify 2x2s which are finalized (no foundation visible).

Made a small but significant step in my downstairs renovation. Added 2x2s and blocking to this wall where we plan to have our TV. Will need to do some electrical next.
Shout out to @projektgopher.com who gave me the idea to add the 2x2s onto the existing wall to avoid the vent pipes.
