Good read JD, I share your views, especially on the Xhekaj vs Struble matter. I like Struble but he has definitely slowed down in the last 3-4 games, losing assignments in Dzone. He doesn't hit anymore and it's a very important part of his game.

I know dont mess with a winning lineup but that 3rd line was a mess and lets be honest, Domi was headed towards being a scratch until the GWG.

Yea saw it on the replay...6 guys on ice in dzone for blocked shot that led to the 3 on 2....and also 6 guys on their goal scoring huddle post goal. Played with 6 guys on ice and not a single ref/announcer noticed it.

Updating this. Alfons is taking a regular shift. Played with 3 different partners. I counted 6 shifts and about 3.5 minutes TOI. On pace for 10-11 minutes. His team was shorthanded twice and he doesn’t PK. He got 3 dzone starts. Seems to be getting a bit more of these as the season goes along

So true. I was thinking about that last night: "remember when the Leafs basically never started on time?" Felt like 3 of every 4 games they'd be flat out the gate, with chaos in the dzone all the time, a flaky goal, taking bad penalties. Basically always fighting uphill.
