IMO 2012 was the last great year for Tacomas and 4Runners. In 2013 they went crazy on the electronics, bluetooth, GPS, etc, and didn't seem to get it right until 2016.

Getting an immense amount of satisfaction from all the 4Runners and Jeeps and whatnot that have been decked out with all this overland gear and raised suspension and meaty tires that keep driving past on this forest road, because I made it up here in my VW station wagon.
