I find it more pleasant to draw with a wider/bigger sketchy pencil brush now
for a +/- 1500/2500 px canvas, 8-9px for max main line brush size. I also try to get rid of my elitist mentality and accept using stabilizer (5)

i've been playing with this idea of using custom patterns to copy how RGB displays work, and it's been a neat way to add some texture.

so in this instance if this 9px x 9px tile is meant to represent 1 pixel, and my art is 480px high, I'll make the canvas 4320px high so it lines up with the pattern

a quick update on my (free, a grand total of zero dollars required) font RULER:
it now supports Slovak too!

you can use this to get the oldskool way of rendering fonts, which is really handy in very niche cases
