I got one. Used it to watch a Lion in Winter last year. Good times.

I love the way the film is shot in newsreel style using non-professional “actors”; you almost feel like you’re watching a documentary. Amazing that Pontecorvo got best director/screenplay nominations in the same year as 2001: A Space Odyssey, Rosemary’s Baby, Oliver and The Lion In Winter

And we're off, with MOVIE NO. 112 in our chronological tour through the American movies of the 80s - and this is a real lion in winter pic, where a titan of American culture bows out, mostly quietly: it's Frank Sinatra's last leading role in October 1980's...THE FIRST DEADLY SIN!
All right, here goes: in preparation for a book I'm writing, I'm going to try something very ambitious/stupid. I am going to attempt to watch every single American movie produced in the 1980s. In chronological order of release. And to talk about them here in the process.

Ooh thank you I will have to check that out too, sounds fun.
Also if you are an Eleanor of Aquitaine fan this is a really good movie. It's quite old but a Katherine Hepburn classic.

I watched The Lion in Winter for the first time yesterday, without knowing a great deal about it apart from the basics.
An incredible cast, lots of scenery being chewed and bags of fun, although it never quite manages to leave its stage origins behind, especially during monologues and asides.

The photograph of a mountain lion in front of the Hollywood sign turned it into a symbol of wildlife isolated by highways and cities. It took Steve Winter more than a year to get the picture, which helped boost advocacy for wildlife corridors in Los Angeles.

[Founder's briefs] Steve Winter’s iconic photo of mountain lion P-22 by the Hollywood sign turned an urban cat into a global symbol for wildlife corridors.
On the Mongabay Newscast, Winter and Sharon Guynup discuss their new book 'Big Cats' and how photojournalism inspires conservation action.

Did my annual rewatch of "The Lion In Winter".
Anyone who wants to be a #screenwriter should view this regularly. William Goldman (rightfully) is venerated for his Oscared "All The President's Men", but his brother James Goldman leaves him in the dirt with THIS staggering Oscar script. #scriptsky

"The Lion in Winter", a historical epic which, alongside the biopic "Funny Girl", had, in the Best Actress category, the only recorded tie in the history of the Academy Awards.
Name a film made before 1970.

Bryan Ferry is somehow 81 years old today + is still putting younger lads to shame with his absolute aura.

I’m sure I remember seeing the lion at whipsnade zoo lit up in 1891. It’s such a lovely beds / Bucks landmark.
