#ABARES
A Brazilian Makoto player named RVD asked himself "is it possible to get 3 Abares in a combo/setup" and after we sat down to optimize his stun path (RVD Stun Path/RSP), lo and behold it actually fucking worked 💀

Also, while Angeleños think eucalayptus trees are native to Southern California, they come from Australia. We have about 800 species ( www.agriculture.gov.au/abares/fores... )

The Intergenerational Report assumes continuity, understating agricultural yield declines and disaster spending risks. ABARES and IPCC data suggest implausible projections, while the National Climate Risk Assessment warns of compounding shocks

Wheat production in 2024 vs the ten-year average (ABARES values). Vic and SA had it tough.

Numbers are likely to be revised in February.

ASFB was very happy to support Dr Krystle Keller (ABARES) to attend the annual #ScienceInParliament event in Canberra.

“Like many scientists, politicians are time-poor and it is so important to effectively communicate science research. This event is great for starting those conversations!”

Logging has no place in native forests. It's appalling all round. This is a good summery;

Another point not made here, probably not included in the ABARES report because it's well known - regrowth after logging adversely alters the water cycle

Cutting through the spin – Ten logging 'myths' in the new ABARES report
Australia’s native‑forest debate has long been characterised by falsehoods generated by industry and arms of industry such as parts of government.

Sorry that was ABARES (Australian Bureau of Agriculture and Resource Economics). That is what I get from relying on memory of something I read 30 years ago.

"ABARES’ Farm Performance and Climate study found that climate conditions between 2000–01 and 2014–15 – with roughly one degree of global warming – lowered national wheat yields by about 11.9% relative to the long‑run baseline."

IGR has a plausibility-credibility problem...

A large proportion of Australian agricultural products are exported. About 75% of "beef and veal", 80% of "mutton and lamb. Add extensive food waste. We won't be starving yet.

Here in Australia, we'd like to think we can trust out public environment & agriculture departments. We can't. As David Lindenmayer shows above ↑
Same's true for department of climate & energy. They hide their science reports used to back the government's lies

👇 10 logging myths in the new ABARES report

"Clinging to myths to support ongoing native forest logging only delays that transition and deepens the ecological and economic debt we leave future Australians."

I’d make a joke about how ABARES’ presumption that all sheep are neurotypical creates a dangerous knowledge gap, but this whole debate is just so ludicrous.

Oooooh thank you, I completely missed the mark, I thought Abares were "pressing attack when you're minus".
So this is one entire combo, no resets?

Previous fiasco: Start with sensible enough request to stop referring to B)M and instead use "Bureau of Meteorology" and "Bureau" thereafter.Turn this into attempt to appropriate the word "Bureau" as if ABS, ABARES etc didn't exist.

Kangaroo Island formerly had the highest feral pig density in South Australia, but new mapping from #ABARES tells a dramatically different story thanks the brilliant work of #PIRSA, #KILB, #DEW and #NPWS on the Kangaroo Island feral pig eradication progam.
