In Melbourne wurde die Adass Israel-Synagoge von 2 Terroristen niedergebrannt, während sich Juden in ihr befanden. Zum Glück konnten sich die Gemeindemitglieder durch eine Hintertür retten und wurden nur leicht verletzt.
