I gotta say this is a pretty unfair thing to say about Sorkin. AFGM is *extremely* clear that Jessup is a hypocritical piece of shit. The “you need me on that wall!!!!” thing Jessup pulls is an act, his excuse for tyrannizing others. The argument is sympathic, but *Jessup doesn’t believe it*

lol that was the same take I had when I re-watched AFGM a little while ago. Everyone thinks Jessup is some genius, Patton-esque leader but when you watch him in action he just makes terrible decision after terrible decision.
