Note the atypical 4-letter code here for this little finch. If it followed convention, it would be AMGO, conflicting with American Goshawk. AGOL is a strict vegetarian, subsisting almost completely on seeds. They’ll make quick work of sunflower seed heads

#Bird of the Day: American Goldfinch (AGOL)
I never feel confident in my identification of the American Goldfinch. For one thing, during much of the year, September thru March, they are in their non-breeding plumage, which makes both males and females resemble, to my eye, the Lesser Goldfinch.

#GISChat AGOL Pet Peeves: I would like to select the attributes I want to see when looking at the content in my AGOL account. Modified date is useful but not always relevant. I would just liked to be able to change that attribute from Modified to Created Date.

A paper by Falcke, Melia, and Agol appeared in The Astrophysical Journal OTD in 1999, arguing it might be feasible to image the shadow of a distant supermassive black hole using Very Long Baseline Interferometry. 🧪 🔭 📡 ⚫️

Syncing Metadata from AGOL to Pro
I have a feature layer that was published to AGOL without any metadata (from Pro). Once it was in AGOL, I used the Item Details Assistant to generate metadata for the layer. However, when I add that feature layer back to ArcGIS Pro and I go to view metadata, there is nothing there. Any ideas what is going on? The full…
