Finally got the little Vampire FB9 finished. Airfix 1/48 nice little kit, just enough detail. Things to watch - needs at least double the suggested nose weight - I ended up filling the gear bay, and the wingtip nav lights are grossly oversized, ended up building them up with clear glue.

Right, that is me done with the Airfix Shackleton. A very good kit, great decals and in the end a good looking plane. A few mistakes and a few things I will do differently next time but overall happy with how it's turned out.

The decals are on and some of the best I have used by Model Art. Thin but tough and no bumped edges. Colourful too. Now to let them dry, pin wash and put it all together. 👍👌

I’m calling this one basically done … 1/48 Airfix Lysander… one of my favourite ever planes. Airfix have created a terrific kit. Highly recommended. Any errors are entirely my own. #HistScaleModels
