I make a lighthearted joke about Ashkenazi food, and my mentions are full of people saying, “Evil Jews stole Palestinian cuisine,” totally erasing that most Israeli Jews are Mizrahi, not Ashkenazi, and have just as much claim to Middle Eastern food as any other Middle Easterner.
Israel has bad bagels because bagels are an Ashkenazi diaspora food. The place to go for bagels will always be New York or Montreal. Israel has plenty of good food but Israeli food and Jewish food are not and will never be synonymous.
This is also a war crime

Some background on Ashkenazi Jewish last names: Most Ashkenazi Jews did not have last names at all until the late 18th or 19th centuries. Until then, Jewish names generally changed every generation.
Netanyahu is a war criminal who belongs in the Hague, but it was non-Jewish Poles who defined Polish identity to exclude Jews, and imposed Polish surnames on Polish Jews that were not deeply rooted in their families or identities.

Stephen Miller is of Ashkenazi Jewish descent. His great-grandparents inhabited the Pale of Settlement (western Russia where Jews were allowed to live) and escaped Russian pogroms and the Holocaust. All the same racist, xenophobic, ignorant things he is saying were said about his own family.
