#Accessbility
Trying to learn deadlock and I genuinely think it's insane how anyone could think fighting games have an accessbility problem when games like this are 4723458974389574 times more complicated and 854783647862347 times more popular lol

The only accessbility feature i've ever turned on in a game is putting pants on the Pseudoregalia bunny

If y'all dont stay off @knilirabaj.bsky.social's neck for advocating for accessbility more politely than is required.

Accessbility in games should be standard and not an after thought.

Extra shout out to devs having them in your demos. It builds trust and shows disabled folks you're thinking about us from the ground up 💜♿💜

It's good to see Sakurai not only openly supported games with detailed accessbility features but also give it a try with his next game.

besides the blinding backgrounds in some of the stages its easily the most glaring accessbility issue in smash ultimate

Do you mean *THIS* Selaco?

Because for a tiny team we're pushing heavily towards having accessibility options. Unlike big teams, we do not have a dedicated Accessbility Team.

There are better examples you can use if you want to make a point about developers not caring enough about accessibility.

i don't think it's silly at all and would probably help with accessbility, especially if you shift voices per post and call out the user names.

you're landing pretty close to airchat, except that was recordings of people's voices

If you don't want to click through, what Seattle Worldcon CURRENTLY SAYS about on-site accessbility:

"This page isn’t quite ready yet, but we wanted to make sure we had at least a placeholder up so you didn’t think we were ignoring this part of the convention."

e.g. ive seen this happen with a conservative acquaintance who suddenly became sympathetic to wheelchair accessibility after he was injured and unable to walk unassisted for months (even after he recovered and no longer benefited from accessbility accomodations personally)

it’s like they think accessbility is a DEI issue and not a foundational ux thing

That part really threw me. I'm looking at this accessbility nightmare and then . . . something accessible! What!?

Let’s make #BlueSky 100% inclusive for those with visual or cognitive disabilities by using alt text on images on our posts👇🏼

It’s easy to do✅
Means you can write more✅
You reach a bigger audience✅
To get in habit go to Settings >Accessbility>toggle “on” alt text for all posts✅

Let’s be inclusive👍🏼
a man says " everybody counts or nobody counts " in front of a sign that says prime video
Alt: a man says " everybody counts or nobody counts "

The refusal of the #healthcare industry (which is not about health) to provide basic #accessbility is appalling.
February 28, 2024 at 6:05 PM
I think people conflate disability accessibility (one handed people, colorblind, deaf, etc) with accessbility (helping people who are less experienced in the genre to get to grips with a game)

Dark mode (non-dim) is better but still fails all accessbility checks and the Dim dark mode is only marginally better. yeesh.

The Mayor of London is letting #DisabledPeople down. Whether it's quantity or quality, he needs to put Disabled Londoners at the centre of his housing strategy. Thank you to @AdamGabsiLDN from @inclusionlondon for showing me around his home! #accessbility #housing

In general I've noticed how the discourse about accessbility in video game difficulty seems to focus entire on a few select games, and seems to be based entirely on aesthetics more than actual accessibility.

The mere veneer of being "welcoming" is enough for no one to want to ask
It is a lil funny how Toby Fox completely slips by discussions about difficulty in video games through sheer vibes

Accessbility is amazing, but even more than that; working *with* your VAs/narrator also means you help control things like pitch, cadence, character, and pronunciations.

There's so much more medium for artistry when you expand into further creations. People who deride audiobooks are missing out

Here is what the UCP has been hiding. Accessbility disability report. Thank you @marierenaud.bsky.social for all your hard work. I truly hope we have a chance in getting the UCP to back off on there ridiculous claw backs and cut backs. static1.squarespace.com/static/631bf...

AI bros who use the language of accessbility are all charlatans. Its annoying as fuck. "creative privilege" this "creatively challanged" that, i want to throw up.

Pleasing to see Seige doing more to improve its accessibility. Gaming should be available for everyone to enjoy. #gaming #accessbility #Ubisoft news.ubisoft.com/en-us/articl...

Hey all, double check your settings!!! I just noticed that my check for "require alt text" was off. I had it on prior to the last update!
