The protagonists actually spend a fair bit of time wandering it intact. We are mostly following military characters but we see civilian life, a surprisingly evocative depiction of an AdMech facility & the priests in charge, etc.

Then the villains pull a reverse Holdo Maneuver on the ships in orbit

They're the ones from the pteraxii, most of them are made from rebuilt pteraxii (the turbines cut from the wings and attached where their back arms connect) just with 3d printed heads and weapons from other admech kits

to get certain details. For AdMech, for the chicken walkers (dragoons and ironstriders), I found it easier to paint the rider separately and then glue them on afterwards, but it's really not the biggest deal.

That's about all the advice I got, just do what you feel is right in the given moment.

AdMech, at least, retain some of the appealing aspects of transhumanism. They sometimes seem to even be having a good time!

You cannot remotely say the same about Astartes most of the time.
