the current method of cyberdefense against agentic based attacks (which are happening) by using agentic defense is the equivalent of using a nuclear reactor that produces plutonium to continuously patch the reactor in the hopes it survives a thermonuclear hit.

The latter IMO. Take #$GOOGL for example. If the cat is out of the bag on agentic search, you either sit and watch your whole business unravel or you hop on the train.

The thing is, i dont even think the cat is out of the bag on agentic search. But weirdly they pre-emptively took the cat out by making agentic search the default. And i dont know if they realize it kills a bunch of complementarity they have

At least in software engineering, I think "agentic engineering" will be the first thing to go, at least for most people at most companies. LLM code-gen may remain but agent-based workflows will become too expensive for what's produced, vs. engineers with actual brains.
