My family, historically come from Alwinton and Harbottle. Hindmarsh's, they are buried right by the door of Alwinton church.

Really, and we've only just got started on winter. I moved near alwinton just after the bad snows that blocked the roads for weeks! I was firmly told by my elderly neighbours to always have 3 months supplies in.

It is a really remote area of Northumberland, in the Cheviots, beyond the tiny village of Alwinton. It is also, in part, located on The Otterburn Ranges, one of our military training areas. Very beautiful.
