Dug up Minecraft again ^^

Watching Age of Umbra by @criticalrole.bsky.social inspired me to build a grimdark-esque valley with creepy plants and old ruins.

Naming this the "Amber Valley" as a nod to the Amber Reach in the Age of Umbra :)

Dark grass breaks up the greys of the cliff faces. The terrain is still very barren, with nearly no plants on the grass blocks or stone. A stone brick circle and some blue wool can be seen as planning markers for future builds.

Built a pretty dome just to tear it down now >:D

This is a technique I like to use for ruins: build the full building first (roughly) and then tear it down, it makes the ruins much more realistic and better looking imo.

In the center, on a large plateau flanking the river, a circular stone brick building with a copper domed roof can be seen. It is not fully integrated into the terrain since the idea is to tear it down and turn it into a ruin.
