#Amydgala
It's weird how NPR went woke to these guys at the same time they got a device that spews a neverending stream of grievance nonsense straight to their amydgala

beautiful and… 🥲 she’s going to rest in the Amygdala corner

(Amydgala corner = songs that I love and appreciate their honesty in the lyrics/they’re relatable, but cannot listen on a regular or else I’ll be sad for days)

If all synapses are happy and well connected, especially in the region of the region of the amydgala (I think), it will be a pretty irresistible thing ❣️

I've written about this elsewhere www.whitewaterlawyer.com/2023/09/10/a...
tldr, algorithms match us with users and content that makes us more upset, because anxiety makes us more likely to click ads. No matter how mindful we are about it, it's their platform, not ours. "Safe use" is unlikely.

Tell him amydgala stubbed their toe, same damage

The fact there is also a parallel with amydgala in a scene is making me want to watch this with intent some more (but i don't have the time rn, I'm supposed to meet my friends at the pop up in 15 minutes)
the normal parallels with hyyh and spring day might actually make me cry

I have never watched any D-day tour footage yet. The album itself is quite heavy to me (esp Amydgala as I have depression and relate SO MUCH to those feelings). One day I hope to have the courage to brave it because he deserves it but I’m so afraid of hurting myself in the process…

Right now the United States is Arkham Asylum. Under control of The Joker.

Commissioner Gordon lit the Bat-Signal but Batman has been subdued by Amydgala.

Now is the time for the long-suffering citizens of Gotham to rise up and overthrow The Joker and the shadowy figures who put him in charge.

The basolateral amygdala may help scale generosity depending on how close we feel to someone.

Nonetheless, as attractive as the parsimonuous region-specific approaches to decoding brain-behavior interfaces are, it is but one piece of a much larger system.

So I have a bit of a fascination with all things related.I’ve read The Game by Neil Straussman, How To Win Friends And Influence People by Dale Carnegie.I’ve listened to a bunch of podcasts on things like emotional intelligence and the Amydgala and I guess as an extension of those I’ve also listened to a few podcasts and audio books on psychopathy and found them insanely fascinating.I’m not a big reader but would like to know if there are any must reads in this genre. Cheers! by Familiar_Resident_69

"We are performing gruesome experiments that result into the murder of many insects to demonstrate an obvious fact, because acknowledging the contrary by ourselves makes our amydgala feel bad, and we don't want to feel bad because is overwhelming to our basic ape brain".
