Swoony heartthrob Antinous, as the god Silvanus, by Antonianos of Aphrodisias, AD 130-138. Whatever Hadrian saw in him, he was certainly a good-looking young chap. Terrible swimmer, mind.

Antinous, the great love of the emperor Hadrian represented in a relief as the god Silvanus. He is crowned with a pine branch, holds a sickle and is accompanied by a dog. The Greek inscription reveals the artist as Antonianos of Aphrodisia.

coube a Francisco Antônio de Sales (1863-1933) registrar, na folha 21 do livro 486 da então Diretoria de Contabilidade da Guerra a extinção dos holerites antonianos.
