"Whatever you get for Christmas" - London Underground poster, 1919. An exhortation for shoppers to avoid the peak hours and travel for shopping between 10.0am and 4.0pm. The date is given as 1919 and that would make it spot on for early use of the redrafted version of the roundel by Edward Johnston and for the use of his typeface. Anyhow, otherwise a collection of eleve or pixies appear busy, with even one on a bike delivering by 'express'! The poster is on a blue background, the elvish border topped by an UndergrounD roundel and with a Christmas tree below, centre. The text is in white uppercase Johnston typeface "Whatever you get for Christmas - Get it in good time - Shope between 10.0am & 4.0pm"
