ah gotcha, this is cool. I think maybe this is still intended for use in blender from what I can see, for like archvis stuff? my textures are diffuse-only retro video game textures

Early signs are that archvis users and tv/film users of the Unreal Engine, in particular, are not yet fully committed to the new pipeline of becoming Roblox clients.

I will say. The Sky texture in blender is fat brighter than most hdri’s. to the point where almost every scene I use it in I have to drop the strength or lower exposure in the composition. It’s great for quickly lighting interiors up in archvis.

archvis looking background is my biggest pet peeves in furry art, which is 100% unreasonable on my end which i do not deny. i just really like it when the background provides context either for the scene or adds information about the characters, preferably both.

It’s this archvis of a “to be built” house for sale in Rhinebeck NY. Impractical for our purposes and way out of our price range, but it’s my version of Tom Cruise’s hideaway in Oblivion. Someday.

Even at its earliest stages it's scratching that same itch and part of my brain that found real surveying and archvis really satisfying, and whole world and presentation is so charming. Definite day 1 buy for me and looking forward to diving in more deeply

All the white makes it look like half-finished archvis in Blender, which a lot of houses now suffer from.

In warm climate and a civilization where structures are grown and not built, the division between "outside" and "inside" can get pretty blurry.

moderately happy with some of the work i did crunching for a final for 203 over the last couple days. a recreational area / park installation with a tessellated canopy structure. Canopy was made in Grasshopper/Rhino, project in Revit, Renders in Blender/Cycles.

I'm annoyed. I always loved the ProArt laptop line. For creators on the go it's a great portable rig. The issue was the GPU: Not enough VRAM and the 70 series aren't good for complex real-time archvis - so I got a G16 gaming rig instead, arrival still pending.

Guess what ASUS is releasing now? :'D

There are so many fucking examples at this point of actual infrastructure projects planned and budgeted by experts getting derailed because some rich dipshit showed up with shiny archvis renders and said "oooh ooh I know, let me do it."

It's still cool tech that can help out in other sectors like the movie industry or for archvis - more realism for cheap is always good for us. It's basically useless for gaming though, that's true.

You know he's getting serious about his little-worlds when he re installs #CrazyBump (about every 4.35 years).
