Fui logar de novo e eu tinha colocado para autenticar pelo Authy.
Só que todos os códigos do Authy não estão funcionando na conta do x. E eu tentei tantas vezes que o app bloqueou minhas tentativas.
Tive que entrar em contato com o X para tentar conseguir logar e poder desativar minha conta. É isso.

PSA: Actual experts say you *shouldn't* change passwords unless you think they've been compromised. Also, SMS is better than no 2FA, but it's the weakest method of 2FA: use an app to generate codes. I use Authy; see also Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, etc. cc @theguardian.com

wasn't quick enough to screenshot it before it changed, but my Authy app just gave me 808 303 as a login code for something. this does now mean I'll have to listen to 80s synth music for the rest of the day. all suggestions welcomed:

oh yes, one other: switch your 2FA away from SMS and use an app instead, eg Google Authenticator/Authy/etc. And require unlock for the authenticator app, too. Ideally use a different PIN to unlock apps, too.
