#AvoidCOVID
My sister, a Harvard law grad and no stranger to hard work just went on leave from her big law job because of long covid.

The best thing you can do for your long term and short term health is not get covid.

Maybe instead of mocking maskers, y’all could advocate for putting hepa filters in schools

That is 100% a skill issue.

Reminder also that there is no such thing as a "mild" #COVID infection.

Even if your symptoms during the acute phase of it (the first ~3 weeks) don't seem that bad, the virus can cause damage to major organs like heart & brain, & you still can get #LongCOVID.

Even mild COVID-19 can shrink the brain, preliminary research finds
It resembles brain changes seen in older adults.

More and more children with layered, persistent illnesses, due to COVID-damaged immune systems.
What can parents do?

Try your best to accurately diagnose & treat illnesses quickly with GP support.

PREVENT further COVID infections, as they will always do more damage than good.

There is research that shows that COVID is an oncogenic virus

Cancer can also be caused by genetic or environmental factors that are hard or impossible to control

Along with diet & physical activity, you could control one more aspect (COVID infections), by wearing a mask in public spaces

If you've ever wondered why #Fibromyalgia #ME/CFS, and #LongCOVID have 200+ symptoms, this is why. They disrupt the #AutonomicNervousSystem, & therefore affect every part of the body. That means they also impact every part of our lives - from temperature regulation to decision making.

Remember when they said kids don’t get Covid? Then immunity debt & Covid is mild

“those infected with SARS-CoV-2 exhibited increased risks for…hypertension, ventricular arrhythmias, myocarditis, heart failure, cardiomyopathy, cardiogenic shock, thromboembolism, chest pain, and palpitations” IN KIDS
For those who thought Omicron was the "off ramp" to reopen schools and go back to work.

Kids and cardiac sequelae. Over a million in the study.
