While looking today at FlightRadar24 I spotted G-TCHI in flight, a Spitfire which is currently painted blue. Spitfire 90th Anniversary Circumnavigation - K5054 (BS410) dipping its wings as it flew over the Forth Bridge, Scotland today. A blustery squall hit just as the spitfire arrived. Kudos to the pilot for taking the detour as the easier option would've been to just head north with a decent tail wind.

It was Spitfire MkIX BS410, which crashed in France in May 1943 and spent 60 years in a marsh before being recovered and rebuilt

I heard an item on BBC news yesterday - I thought I heard them say it was a Mk24. Must have misheard!
As you say, the current aircraft marked as K5054 is the rebuilt Mk IX registered as G-TCHI (originally BS410)
