If I were U.S. emperor, I'd spend billions and billions of dollars building solar and wind farms on federal land. Not giving grants or tax incentives, just *building them* as federally owned power sources, and building the backhaul for grid connections. Grid-tie it and make electricity stupid-cheap.

Ubiquiti certainly didn't intend for this Switch Pro XG 8 PoE to be installed in a filthy attic that's already pushing 145 degrees, but I didn't have much of an option! So far, it's working great powering two WiFi 7 access points and two cameras with a 2.5GbE backhaul!

The $29B figure makes no sense. The whole $22B infrastructure budget was never going to be spent on Starlink backhaul. Backhaul as a whole (incl fiber & microwave) might only be 10% of the budget. And the supposed $7B "immediate" loss is 10x Starlink's LatAm revs mexicodailypost.com/2025/02/24/c...
