Today is the last day of 2026 for @ncc-ccn.gc.ca Weekend Bikedays in Ottawa! I almost missed it this (Canadian) Thanksgiving weekend. Here’s video taken yesterday afternoon from one of my favorite stretches on the eastern (SGEC) parkway. The leaves will be at their peak colors here very soon.

I have to waste part of this gorgeous Sunday on a trip to the grocery store.
I'd love to make a long ride of it and use KZM to ride as far as Westboro, but #BikeDays ended 90 mins ago, and the MUP will no doubt be jam-packed with people.

The nightly Lincoln Fields detour is inserted between paragraphs about NCC Bike day detours. That's just confusing.
I'm not entirely sure that is NCC Bike days 2026 info.
I'm sure there are more problems if I knew the status of all road works.

I think @ncc-ccn.gc.ca should turn those "obey traffic signals" signs to face drivers tho. Three drivers blew the red light at IPD.

Went for a little out-and-back along the KZM, checked out the Hintonburg Pumping Station and had some hot apple cider at Remic Bistro. Will get one last parkway run in tomorrow morning.

The National Capital Commission (NCC) says the hours for Weekend Bikedays on the Queen Elizabeth Driveway are being extended every Saturday until the end of August for “Kultur on the Kanal.”
