As a cyclist, my biggest concern with e-bikes is that they allow your speed to exceed your bikehandling skills. On a regular bike, by the time you're able to routinely cruise along a 18-20 mph, you've got a lot of miles logged. On an e-bike you can go that fast the first time you ever get on it.

I've always thought they should have a bikehandling state, which increases or decreases your chance of falling.

Conditions that favour the bigger GC guys and that require solid bikehandling?
You know what time it is!

Dude's bikehandling skills are insane 😮

The bike held up surprisingly well.

It's often, but not always, the case that somebody doing a high speed on a non-electric bike has significantly better bikehandling skill than someone on an ebike. On a non-electric bike speed comes as a result of time you put in riding, which makes you better at control.

He's pretty horizontal tbh. The Del Grosso's and Pidcocks of the peloton could definitely save it as well, but I'm not so sure about the group of riders who's bikehandling is slightly below that.

I’m genuinely mystified by how many reposts of this I’ve seen. This is literally elite bikehandling! Almost nobody on earth can do this! Pro cyclists die all too frequently precisely because they are willing to ride very close to other cyclists at high speed!
Bicycles are hugely space efficient, which is why they make a lot of sense in congested cities.

This video demonstrates why there aren’t traffic jams in bike lanes.

Just imagine the traffic queues if every bicycle here was a car.

It's funny, I watched a friend of my wife's race cross in the early 00s and I thought "I could never do that." I wasn't even really riding at the time.

I was around 30. Now I'm 52 and into it. Life is funny that way.

I had the bikehandling from BMX in the 80s & MTB in the early 90s.

(And with how good he is on gravel, and his general bikehandling I've seen, I'd be surprised if he was bad on cobbles. Gravel skill doesn't always translate to cobbles, but at least points towards a good skill.)
