hemp too

'Hemp is one of the richest natural sources of cellulose...making it a prime candidate for bioplastic production [that] is fully biodegradable and recyclable. It can be processed into various products, including packaging, consumer goods, automotive parts, and more conventional plastics.'
The pros and cons of hemp bioplastic
Hemp bioplastic is gaining popularity as an eco-friendly plastic. But what are the pros and cons of this material? Find out in this article.

WE DON'T NEED PETROLEUM-BASED PLASTICS ANYMORE!

"The [bamboo plastic] outperforms most commercial plastics and bioplastics in mechanical and thermo-mechanical metrics while maintaining full biodegradability in soil within 50 days and closed-loop recyclability with 90% retained strength."

yeah I should clarify fossil fuels for electricity production, bioplastic is probably some distance off bsky.app/profile/lowk...
Oil will stick around for a very long time due to the really useful chemicals you can use when you aren't burning it. Stuff like plastic is really hard to make without it.

Natural gas is nearly useless in comparison, it's pretty hard to use in chemistry

I’ve been experimenting recently with double coating and exposing bioplastic cyanotype.
This one has been coated & exposed three times while wet. The extra moisture the bioplastic is absorbing is causing drying issues hence the cracks in this piece.
