I bought a new domain name for the website but bluehost wants 90 bucks to give it an SSL certificate so I'll probably just wait until the end of the year and switch services. Bluehost can eat a dick. (No Let's Encrypt).

If you've been wondering what happened to freethoughtblogs, it turns out it has been officially owned by a ghost, Ed Brayton. I'm trying to resolve the ownership. I'm trying convince Bluehost that I'm not dead, but my partner is.

Finally transferring my sites away from Bluehost to a Canadian provider, so they may be inaccessible while I transfer things over. I am excited tho!

Bluehost is using an unevidenced claim that freethoughtblogs is "engaging in fraudulent activities" made by a guy calling himself "Deathlord" to shut us down. It's chickenshit nonsense. I am not happy with bluehost.

Dreamhost and Bluehost are the GOAT, I pay for Bluehost myself with my blog site. I will eventually have to move my portfolio over too

I know I'm from a different era, but I still think it's comparatively easier to own your comic site than trying to promote yourself on censored platform full of desperate people who treat each other as competitors instead of friends/peers.

It's definitely difficult getting a separate site going since it feels like you then need to put in even more time to spreading the URL via social media, but holy shit, avoiding censorship restrictions and ads all over the place is so worth it

One observation from posting identical content on Bluehost and Threads that may be a bit against the grain. There seems to be more of a mobbing mentality on the latter platform.
