That screen arrived today from aliexpress (5.7", 1080p with touch and ok speakers) so doing a quick tape-powered test with my OrangePi 5 Max. Still wild to me one can have a full-ass desktop experience like this. Distro's bredOS btw. Goofy name, but great option for non-RPi SBCs. #orangepi #linux

BredOS (Arch based Linux) is looking for support, to convert 28 images for Rockchip RK3588 devices from the vendor kernel to the mainline kernel. This is a lot of work and they started a crowdfunding campaign on Ko-fi.

After I posted my previous video, the BredOS team told me that Vulkan is working on the Orange Pi RV2 RISC-V SBC!
vkQuake runs, not sure if SuperTuxKart uses Vulkan. llama.cpp can run with Vulkan, but the Imagination Technologies BXE-2-32 is too slow to run this properly.

My first test of BredOS (Arch based) on the Orange Pi RV2 RISC-V SBC. Audio isn't working, but I was able to build Ollama, Box64, and install Docker and the game Beneath a Steel Sky.

І загалом, я довольний. Брав версію з 16GB RAM + 128GB eMMC, здається шось за 12 чи 16к гривень.

Дуже довольний. Але є деякі проблеми, довелось потанцювати з бубнами та поставити BredOS […]
