Each mourning brought back memories of old lives, after rebirths,
Until surrender.

BUTOH II

“Butoh is timeless. It is always about to be born. That’s where its energy comes from. If it actually came into being, it would cease to exist.” - Butoh: Body on the Edge of Crisis

Taking into your own body the idea that your wrist is not your own - there’s an important secret hidden in this concept.

Butoh isn’t just dance—it’s exorcism, silence, memory.
Born in postwar Japan, Butoh defies logic. It invites you to feel.
This is a day in the life of Kana Kitty—Tokyo-born Butoh dancer and actress who performs as if she’s channeling something beyond this world.
