Ksamil am Ionischen Meer im äußersten Süden Albaniens mit Korfu🇬🇷 in Sichtweite ist keine schöne Stadt. Ein typischer Touristen-Badeort mit entsprechender Infrastruktur. Doch die nahe Ausgrabungsstätte Butrint, das glasklare Wasser und schöne Strände lohnen trotzdem einen Besuch.

Lake Butrint in Albania is well known for its mussel farming due to its unique combination of fresh/saltwater.

The method being used here is bouchot where the Mussels are farmed on wooden poles, with ropes wound around them.
