Evictions often lead to homelessness, but they don’t have to. Tenant protections and early support can make all the difference in keeping families stable and housed.

Our CASPEH study highlights the importance of protecting renters from displacement.

34% of homeless adults in our #CASPEH study had difficulty with daily activities (dressing, eating, etc.). 22% had difficulty walking across a room. #Disabilities make homelessness far more difficult to navigate.

#PTSDAwareness Day is a reminder: trauma and homelessness are intertwined. CASPEH data shows 72% experienced violence before homelessness, 38% during. 47% reported being roughed up by police while homeless. These findings underscore the need for trauma-informed approaches.
