most of these areas are so red that you can throw a decent sized metro in the middle of them and it barely makes a scratch (i.e. Vancouver (CD03) and Spokane (CD05) in Washington state).

Then start diluting CD03 into outside the Seattle/Tacoma metro because Clark/Cowlitz county is a red tinged purple as a whole. We don't have a GOP rep, it's something.
